Love eating here. Friendly staff, good food. I liked everything I tried. It's been around for as long as I can remember and the food is still as delicious from when I was younger. Cookies are nice and soft, cute little tables inside to enjoy the pizzas, sub sandwiches and pastas. Definitely a must stop on your way to the volcano or black and beach.

Just bad. One star for the friendliness. Truly nice staff. Pizza was bland, crust gummy, sauce tasted canned. Sandwich meat was supposed to be pastrami. Couldn't tell what it was. I hate giving a bad review, but in two trips to the Big Island this is the worst food on the island.

This little place was really great! We stopped in on our way down to south point on the island. Not much around but went for it. We all had sandwiches of varying kinds - they were all REALLY good! They bake their own bread and it's tasty!

I've eaten at Ocean View Pizzaria a hand full of times over the last eight years. The service is always friendly, and quick. Over the years the prices have kept me from being a frequent visitor. After dining I always find myself feeling that I didn't get full value for my money. However, eating options I n OV are limited so you work with what's available. I usually stick with a cheese slice or pizza, as topping prices are a little on the high side. The crust is quite tasty, and on the thick side. I made a recent visit because I was craving spaghetti. They only offer spaghetti with meatballs. Unfortunately, the meatballs and sauce are frozen together. So, I opted to try it anyway. I gave the meatballs to my BF who said they were a little bland. I was a bit disappointed in the sauce and spaghetti. It had that microwave feel. My BF had the veggie patty melt was suitable, but nothing impressive. I would say stick to the pizza, and you'll have a good experience. My favorite part of OV Pizzaria is the video game in back, and the cookies the size of your head. The cookies are huge, tasty, and the best value.

If you are looking for ambiance, this is not the restaurant for you. If you are hungry after a day at the volcano, this is the perfect spot to grab a bite on your way back to Kona. We absolutely loved this pizza. The ingredients were super fresh and there were lots of them. The crust was also super fresh tasting. Nothing fancy, just good pizza. For a hole in the wall, this restaurant also seemed to be popular with locals. The phone rang at least 3-4 times for take out while I waited for the pizza to cook. They were making them as fast as they could in the back. The service was quirky and great, just exactly what you would expect from a local pizza joint.

Great kind of mom and pop restaurant! Bigger selection than expected. Amazing subs and pizza! Good prices and good customer service. Wait for food was a little longer than I wished but the food was worth it! Excellent cookies too!

Always stop here when I'm in OV. Usually on my motorcycle. Love their subs, lots of meat and Veg, on fresh baked bread. Get em toasted. Pastrami is the best.

This is a pretty basic local pizza place. The prices aren't too bad. Topping prices are a little steep but if you keep your pizza simple it's a good deal. The crust is a great happy medium between too thick and too thin. The service is great - just down home nice people. I don't know that I would make it a destination, but if you live nearby or are hungry when you cruise through town, be sure to stop in.

Good pizza and sub sandwiches. Friendly staff. We go here about twice a month since its close and usually combine it with a run to the local hardware store. Highly recommend their shrimp sub and the cookies are good too! We usually get our food to go but they do have indoor seating and its always clean.
